Abstract

Electric motors are widely used in the industrial world, one of which is to control equipment such as conveyors, cranes, blowers and others. Most of the electric motors used are induction motors, due to the characteristics of these induction motors having a strong construction. With the realization of this tool, it can facilitate and provide security guarantees in the motor work process, to motor operators in the industry. Effective dynamic braking is carried out by injecting direct current from the motor coil after the motor is disconnected from the alternating voltage source which provides braking torque to the motor, direct current injection is controlled through the NodeMCU esp8266 using the blynk application. The Internet Of Things (IOT)-based single-phase induction motor dynamic braking control and monitoring system after testing produces the smallest motor power is 90.55 Watt and the largest motor power is 155.30 Watt. Testing direct current injection (DC) 1 A obtains an induction current on the rotor section of 0.81 A and in the direct current injection test of 3 A obtains an induction current on the rotor section of 2.44 A. The hot condition of the motor will respond to the rotating field resistance fast magnetic field, which causes the motor to stop faster. If the DC current injected increases in magnitude it will also cause the motor to stop faster.
