Abstract
The problem in this final project research is related to delays in procuring spare parts for the smooth departure of ships by PT. Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk Batam branch. The method used is a qualitative method in this case the author collects data including observation, interviews, and documentation. From the results of research on delays in procuring spare parts for the smooth departure of ships by PT. Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk Batam branch wa caused by the engine officer not paying attention to the availability of spare parts on board, damage to the diesel generator which suddenly occurred when the ship wa in transit and time-consuming customs clearance. And the way that PT. Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk Batam branch in delays in procuring spare parts with asked the person in charge of PT. Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk Batam branch must often coordinate with KKM to provide lists of ship spare part needs periodically, use used spare parts that are still suitable for use,if the spare parts are not available on the ship then an emergency diesel generator repair is carried out then KKM must immediately contact and ask the person in charge of PT. Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk Batam branch to prepare new spare parts that comply with diesel generator standards and follow registration and custom processes according to applicable and have no history of problem with PT. Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk Batam branch which can aim to avoid delays in ship departures.
