Abstract

This final project is a stage to carry out research that aims to discuss issues regarding optimization of ship agency service processes to improve ship agency in Indonesia. PT. Snepac Shipping Dumai branch. As for the formulation of the problem how is the level of agency service at PT. Snepac Shipping Dumai Branch, what are the efforts to improve ship agency services at PT. Snepac Shipping Dumai branch, and what are the obstacles to PT. Snepac Shipping Dumai branch. The place of this research was conducted at PT. Snepac Shipping Dumai branch which was held from February to August 2023. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method, and the data collection method is by observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this study are the services of PT. Snepac Shipping dumai branch is good, but it needs to be improved further so that it can compete with other shipping companies. By improving the existing work system and looking for more competent human resources. So that the responses of service users regarding the quality of ship agency services and their performance are good enough so that they respond to complaints from service users and improve HR performance. At this time there are still constraints in terms of weather, distance in the field, resulting in a lack of readiness of workers to carry out clearance in and out services so that it can reduce the quality of ship owner's trust to work with PT. Snepac Shipping Dumai branch.
