Abstract
Smartphone use among children is now a trend and even many parents who have given smartphones to their children to communicate. However, although parents can contact the child by calling, but for the location of the child parents do not know. And this makes a very influential impact on children in the use of internet technology without supervision from parents, and makes unhealthy activities such as spending all day just to play with a smartphone that can lead to addiction. Children can avoid parents by going to places unknown to their parents and doing things that are not appropriate, because internet technology is free for them to access at any time without parental supervision. For this reason, this study aims to help parents in monitoring the location and supervision of activities on children's smartphones. Based on these problems, it is necessary to build an application monitoring the location and monitoring of children's smartphone activities using the Rational Unified Process method. The final result of this study is the creation of an application Monitoring the location and use of Smartphone activity in children for the android platform.
