Abstract
The problems in thisfinal project are howto implement occupational safety and health (K3) for fishermen, and what efforts should be made by the government to improve occupational safety and health (K3) for fishermen in Meskom Village while sailing. This final project aims to determine the application of occupational safety and health (K3) to the sailing safety of fishing boats, and to find out the efforts made by the government to improve occupational safety and health (K3) for fishermen in Meskom Village while sailing. This research was conducted from February to July 2023 in Meskom Village. The method used through the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. The theory used in this study is occupational safety and health (K3), fishermen, shipping. From the results of this study the application of occupational safety and health (K3) for fishermen in Meskom Village has not been implemented properly, because the fishermen's safety equipment is still minimal, and economic factors make them unable to fulfill these safety equipment on their boats. As well as the absence of radio (HT) as a means of communication between fishermen and the lack of lighting on fishing boats. Efforts made by the government to improve the occupational safety and health (K3) of fishermen in Meskom village through KSOP class IV Bengkalis, that the KSOP must increase the number of personnel in the field to oversee the activities of fishermenin Meskom Village.
