Abstract
The globalization of information has positioned Indonesia as part of the wold’s information society, which necessitates the establishment of arrangements for information and electronic transactions at the national level in response to developments at both the regional and international levels. Based on these conditions, the government of the Republic of Indonesia has promulgated Law of the Republic of Indonesia number 11 of 2008 concerning information and electronic transaction (hereinafter abbreviated as UU ITE), in the state Gazette of the Republic of Indonesia of 2008 number 58. Based on the research conducted, there are problems that are often experienced by the public regarding the ITE Law, a lack of information about what rules are regulated in the ITE Law. By utilizing the advantages of the Brute Force algorithm which is part of the String Matching algorithm, namely matching Strings precisely to solve the problem of matching a text to another text, this research makes a search application about what legal rules are contained in the ITE Law by using Brute Force Algorithm.
