Abstract
Bengkalis sub-district is one of the sub-districts in Bengkalis district. Bengkalis subdistrict is an archipelago with flat topography and elevation dominated by elevations of 0- 5 m in coastal areas and 5-12 m in the central part of the region. Due to the elevation and island area as well as intense rainfall, the Bengkalis sub-district often experiences floods. Apart from topography and island area, there are other factors such as slope, rainfall, soil type, and river distance. Is a parameter used in analyzing the level of flood vulnerability. This research was conducted using overlay and scoring of each existing parameter. Each parameter is given a score and weight according to its respective classification, the score and weight are multiplied to get the total vulnerability value for each parameter. After the parameter values are obtained, then proceed with overlaying it using arcgis 10.8 software. This software utilizes a geographic information system (GIS) which can provide information related to flood-prone areas in the form of vector and raster data. The final result of this research is a flood-prone map of Bengkalis sub-district with an area that is included in the very vulnerable category of 2.06%. vulnerable category 85.37% non-prone category 12.28% and safe category 0.20%Topography and slope are the dominant factors.
