Abstract

The risk and impact on the occurrence of flooding disasters in the Bantan sub-district can be either minimized or mitigated by implementing preparedness and flood prevention measures. This map was processed with the assistance of ArcGIS 10.8 software. The required data for this research includes average rainfall data, DEMNAS (Digital Elevation Model of Indonesia), the sub-district map of Bantan, Landsat imagery, and thematic maps. Data processing was conducted using computer-based software, specifically the ArcGIS 10.3 application. This discussion will elucidate the data processing for each flood parameter. Based on the analysis results, it can be concluded that the mapping of flood-prone areas in the Bantan sub-district, Bengkalis Regency, utilized the following flood causative parameters: land cover, soil type, slope, rainfall, river buffer, and topography. The process of superimposing these flood causative parameters in this study involved assigning scores to each parameter first, and then conducting an overlay analysis using ArcGIS software to obtain vulnerability map results. The results of the flood-prone area mapping in this study are categorized into five vulnerability classes: very low, low, moderate, high, and very high
