Abstract

Solar panels are devices that can convert sunlight into electrical energy. Sunlight is a renewable energy source that can be used to generate new electricity. Solar panel technology has the potential to be applied in Indonesia, which has a tropical climate. The main problem of solar energy is the instability of the power generated by solar panels because it is very dependent on the intensity of the sun received. The intensity of sunlight received by solar panels can be maximized by installing solar panels with the right angle of inclination so that maximum output power will be obtained. In this research, the PV tilt angle testing method was carried out at 0°, 15° and 30° to determine the optimal voltage, current and power absorbed by the solar cell. The tilt angle of 0° is the most optimal tilt angle with an average voltage of 14.38 volts, an average current of 2.68 amperes and an average power of 38.32 watts. The need for a solar cell for a fisherman's residential stilt house is 73.2 watt peak, then a 100 watt peak solar panel is chosen, the battery capacity used is based on efficiency of 65 Ah with a voltage of 12 volts, the efficiency of the SCC requirement is 2.5 amperes, so selected SCC 10 amperes. Testing battery usage on a 15 watt DC lamp with an initial battery voltage of 12.73 volts was able to supply the lamp for 12 hours until the battery remained 11.98 volts. In the initial conditions the 11.94 volt battery can last for 24 hours until the remaining 10.61 volt battery.
