Abstract

Majors or what is now known as specializations for senior high schools which are held at MA. Nurul Hidayah are a challenge for new students who do not understand the specializations that exist at school, as well as challenges for teachers who do not fully recognize students. Decision making in selecting specializations at MA.Nurul Hidayah is currently determined by teachers who are self-help in decorating student specializations by calculating student scores obtained from report cards in determining student specialization, which takes quite a long time, requires a high level of accuracy and There is a large risk of error in the calculation process, errors that occur in the calculation process will affect the results of the selection of specialization. Therefore, a decision support system is needed in financing student specialization recommendations. This study aims to build a decision support system in financing specializations for students who have passed the New Student Admissions (PPDB) selection at MA.Nurul Hidayah Sungai Apit. The result of this system is a specialization between MIPA or IPS from each student who has input data and scores for each predetermined selection. From 34 field data, the application of the SAW method in this system has an accuracy of 82%. This system is made based on a website using the Waterfall method as its development method and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) as a decision support method to produce a system that is as expected.
