Abstract

The quality aspect of software is very important in software development. In order for the software to have good performance, precise quality measurements are needed. Like to measure the quality of a software using the McCall method. This method was chosen because the measurement has the most complete and in-depth criteria. McCall classifies the factors into three important aspects, namely: product operation, product revision, and product transition. The software to be measured is an educational application for plant seeds. This application is built based on current problems such as many people do not understand how to cultivate plants properly so that the crop yields are not of good quality. From these problems the Plant Seed Education Application that will be built can make it easier for people to find information on cultivating plants and know how to cultivate plants properly and efficiently. In measuring the quality of Plant Seed Education software using the McCall method, it focuses on product operation aspects which consist of five factors, namely: correctness, reliability, efficiency, integrity, and usability. The product operational aspect of this factor was chosen because it has 5 factors related to the properties operation of the software. The method used for the software to be developed is the prototype method. This method was chosen because it presented a concept, experimented with design options, and found out more about the problem and its possible solutions. From the measurement results, the Plant Seed Education application gets an overall factor result of 74.4%, which means that the quality of the plant seed educational application is in a good category.
