Abstract

Mentayan Village is a village that focuses on developing lowland rice farming with a rice field area of 220 Ha. To support increased rice production, one of the things that needs to be paid attention to is increasing the cultivation of superior rice seeds. The large number of inaccurate information sources and the absence of a system that can determine the assessment of superior rice seeds makes it difficult for farmers to determine which rice seeds to cultivate. Therefore, a decision support system is needed in the process of selecting superior rice seeds. This study aims to model the criteria for selecting superior rice seeds using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method by comparing 5 criteria, namely yield potential, planting season, rice texture, number of tillers, and disease resistance. The result of this research is the system displays alternative data sequentially based on ranking which can assist in determining superior rice seeds. From 4 field data, the application of the AHP algorithm to this system has an accuracy of 99.5%.
