Abstract

The increasing demand for fuel followed by higher fuel prices not only adds to the burden on the general public but also on the industry. Many ways are done in an effort to save fuel. One effort to save fuel can be done by adding a saving device, oxyhydrogen generator or commonly called HHO generator, which is a technology that utilizes the electrolysis process of water into brown gas. This study includes testing to determine the amount of savings in using fuel from motor vehicles by adding an HHO Generator that uses 2 stainless steel electrodes in a NaOH electrolyte solution. From the results of this study, it was found that hydrogen gas produced from the electrolysis process of water in the HHO generator resulted in an increase in heat from fuel combustion.
