Abstract
Fragrant citronella can also be made into citronella oil which has beneficial properties such as anti-mosquito, anti-fungal, antibacterial, larvicidal, anti inflammatory, aromatic, antipyretic (can relieve fever and headaches), antispasmodic (acts as a muscle relaxer), and can be used for cleaning agents. Cymbopogon nardus, better known as lemongrass or citronella grass, is a type of grass from the order Graminales which is typical of tropical regions of Asia. C nardus is perennial (always grows throughout the year). The stirrer that has been made has dimensions of 580 mm x 540 mm x 1435 mm, with a vertical stirring model, using a ½ hp motor and decelerating using a 1:40 reducer/gerabox. There are 3 types of stirrer models made, the first uses an s-type stirrer, then a plate type, and an s-type retaining plate on the part of the raw material container.
