Abstract

The computer laboratory is an important learning tool in higher education. Currently the process of borrowing the laboratory is still done manually by filling out a form and waiting for confirmation. The manual process is considered less effective and efficient. So a website-based laboratory loan system is needed to simplify the process. This study aims to build a website-based computer laboratory lending system using the RAD (Requirements Planning, User Design, Construction, Cutover) method. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires and literature studies. The results showed that the system was successfully built with features for students to borrow and view laboratory schedules. There are also features for laboratories to validate loans and record reports. Testing using blackbox testing shows the function is running well. In conclusion, the system succeeded in facilitating the process of borrowing laboratories online. Suggestions for further development are adding notification features and limiting the amount of borrowing.
