Abstract

Ship construction can be defined in general to mean ship building components that support each other. However, the service life of a fiberglass ship can be influenced by various factors, such as extreme weather conditions, frequency of use of good care and maintenance. In this research, repairs and aims are to determine the characteristics and location of the greatest stresses in ship hull construction with varying loading or loads. In this research, the method used is the finite element method, the equations of the entire system are formed from combining the equations of its elements. For the results obtained from the academic version of the Ansys Workbench R2 2020 software simulation. The results of testing on ship hull construction using static structural simulations with different loads show that the maximum principal stress for load A is 5.73 MPa and the maximum principal stress for load B is 7.96 MPa, so the speculation value is the construction strength of a 3 GT ship. Fiberglass meets standards that are quite safe.
