Abstract

changes by using variations in water flow rate, temperature changes are The performance objective of this distillation machine is to produce a yield that is obtained in accordance with Indonesian National Standards (SNI). For this reason, the presence of a condenser can convert steam into water, resulting in a better oil yield than before. The data processing that I took used a table with variations in flow rate of 18 liters/minute, 15 liters/minute, 10 liters/minute, by knowing the tube temperature and shell temperature. in the output pipe. The results of the research show that the condenser design using 304 stainless steel material with shell dimensions of 50 cm, 120 cm high and 304 stainless steel spiral pipe material with a diameter of 0.5 inch produces temperature obtained. The best way is by using a flow variation of 18 liters/minute, a variation of 18 liters/minute experienced the highest temperature reduction from 99 C to 28 C. From the results of research that has been carried out using variations in water flow rate, the best temperature changes were obtained using a discharge variation of 18 liters/minute. The variation of 18 liters/minute experienced the highest temperature drop from 99 oC to 28 oC because the water in the citronella distillation condenser continuously circulated.
