Abstract

As time goes by, security and control systems are sought after by many people to support their lives. Like forgetting to turn off the lights, turning off the TV, turning off the AC, or not knowing whether the door is locked when you are outside. With IoT, it now makes it easier to use electrical equipment with automatic control and is more efficient both in terms of energy and costs. The smart home system aims to be an automatic tool to help make residential electricity use more efficient and keep the house safe from gas leaks and theft. By working the relay as a switch connected to Wi-Fi or the internet which is accessed via smartphone and the Blynk application which is controlled remotely to turn on the lights, fan and open the garage door. Based on the test results carried out, the MQ2 sensor has a voltage of 5 V and an output voltage of 4.83 V, if no fire or smoke is detected on the MQ2 sensor then the value is 26 PPM, while fire or smoke is detected on the MQ2 sensor then the PPM value will reach 102 or more then the MQ2 sensor will be detected. The results of overall tool testing with 10 tests carried out, concluded that the smart home prototype tool worked according to button commands in the Blynk application with 100% accuracy.
