Abstract

On the productivity of rice plants requires more serious attention, especially in the preservation process Drying plays an important role in the process of preserving rice. In general, drying is done by using solar energy as a source of heat, but it still depends on time, weather, and land. Drying is one of the most common post-harvest processes carried out on various agricultural products aimed at reducing the water content of the material to a safe level for storage or use in other processes. As for the dryer on the grain, but its use is still prevalent. There are also many drying machines on the market, but at a capacity that is too large, cannot be designated for farmers because the price is too high. So that the design process can be carried out well, the authors use the design method which consists of: literature study, tool design, component manufacturing, tool assembly, tool testing, data collection.
