Abstract
Concrete work that involves high costs can become a significant obstacle to the smooth progress of the project. In this regard, an innovation to reduce the amount of cement used by adding Tamcem 60 RA without compromising the quality and strength of the concrete is needed. The methods used in this research include testing properties according to standards SNI 2493-2011, specimen preparation, slump testing, bulk density testing, and compressive strength testing. Concrete mixtures with Tamcem 60 RA were prepared with cement reductions of 5%, 10%, and 15%, creating 45 cylindrical samples. The concrete was then cured and compressive strength tests were conducted at 3, 7, and 28 days. The effect of reducing the amount of cement in concrete with the addition of Tamcem 60 RA can improve the slump value as the amount of cement reduced increases. For the bulk density of concrete with Tamcem 60 RA, a 5% reduction in cement resulted in a higher value compared to normal concrete, while reductions of 10% and 15% resulted in lower bulk densities than normal concrete. Testing results for concrete compressive strength at 28 days showed that a 5% reduction in cement yielded the same value as normal concrete, whereas reductions of 10% and 15% resulted in values 2.81% and 3.23% lower compared to normal concrete, respectively.
