Abstract
The choice of primary school is an important decision for parents in supporting their children's education as it will affect their education process and future self development. Bengkalis District, located in Riau Province, Indonesia, is an area of 464.89 km2 that has a total of 62 public and private primary schools. However, parents often face difficulties in determining schools that match the criteria they want. Therefore, a primary school selection recommendation system that relies on parents' preferences and criteria is needed to help make decisions quickly without having to do complicated searches. This research aims to design a primary school selection recommendation system in Bengkalis sub-district using the Multi Factor Evaluation Process (MFEP) method by considering distance, accreditation, facilities, extracurricular and curriculum factors. Then the weighting and evaluation of each alternative will be carried out in relation to these consideration factors to achieve accurate recommendations. The result of applying the MFEP method is that the system can display elementary school recommendations based on the highest total MFEP score and criteria factors selected by parents and produce an accuracy rate of 70%. The development method used is Rapid Application Development (RAD)
