Abstract

3 phase induction motor is a device that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy in the form of rotating power caused by electromagnetic induction. The working principle of a 3 phase induction motor works based on electromagnetic induction from the stator coil to the rotor coil. When the 3 phase induction motor statorcoil is connected to a 3 phase voltage source, the stator coil will produce a rotating magnetic field. To maintain the quality and work performance of a 3 phase induction motor, preventive maintenance is required, preventive maintenance is a maintenance activity that is carried out regularly or scheduled to prevent damage to the induction motor. Preventive maintenance is carried out in the form of measuring the temperature of the induction motor, filling grease, checking coil resistance, cleaning the induction motor and tightening the mounting bolts on the induction motor. After collecting date, cheking the temperature, the results were below 100 degrees celcius, when filling the grease, the rusults were obtained according ti the KW size of the motor, when checking the coil, the results were found to be in good condition, so that the peformance of the 3 phase induction motor was always maintained.
