Abstract

Development in the field of structures is currently experiencing very rapid progress, which is taking place in various fields, for example buildings, bridges, towns and so on. Concrete is one choice as a structural material in building construction. Master Rheobuild 6 is an additive for concrete mixtures which functions as a partial replacement for cement and aims to improve the quality of concrete. The method used in this research is the concrete compressive strength method. The preparation of concrete mixed with Master Rheobuild 6 substances in this study was 45 samples in cylindrical form 15 x 30 cm with a curing age of 7, 14 and 28 days with variations of normal concrete without mixture and concrete with cement reduction of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20 % with the addition of Master Rheobuild 6 additive as much as 1.5% of the normal amount of concrete cement. The planned concrete quality is 35 Mpa. The results of the research, with normal concrete compressive strength of 23.48 Mpa, variations in cement reduction of 10% aged 28 days produce a compressive strength of 31.50 Mpa. The use of addictive substances as additional ingredients in the concrete mixture increases the strength of the concrete by reducing cement by 10%.
