Abstract

Social assistance is one of the government's efforts to improve the welfare of the underprivileged. Some examples of social assistance provided are Direct Cash Assistance for Village Funds (BLT-DD), Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) and assistance for the Elderly (Elderly). The problem experienced by Sungai Alam Village, Bengkalis District is that the decision-making process for social assistance recipients is still carried out manually, so it takes a long time so that it is not effective and efficient. Therefore, this research aims to develop a more efficient decision support system in distributing social assistance to the community. The system will use the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method and is built using the PHP programming language, Laravel Framework, and MySQL as the database. Testing was conducted using Black Box to test the app's functionality. The result of testing the SPK application is to produce an application that provides the right recommendations for social assistance recipients, using the SAW method to ensure effective distribution and minimal errors.
