Abstract

Sea transportation is a means of crossing to support the economy of the Ketamputih village community. The concept of ship design applied still uses the design of fishing boats and pompong boats. So that the design used has shortcomings in terms of safety and comfort on the ship. A change in concept is needed to minimize the problems obtained. With the change in the concept of the ketamaran hull design, it can minimize the shortcomings of the ship used as a means of transportation for crossing the Ketam Putih village. These changes include ships with catamaran hulls with a capacity of 16 passengers and 8 motorbikes. Obtaining the main dimensions of the ship using the parent design approach method, namely looking for comparative ship data, the main dimensions of the ship are obtained, LPP = 13 m, B = 5.14 m, H = 1.76 m, T = 0.76 m, Vs = 8 Knots. The Symmetrical hull type has better characteristics with a resistance value of 6.5 Kn, and the stability evaluation obtained in condition 1 with a GZ value of 26.4 deg at an angle of 2.243 meters, condition 2 gets a GZ value of 28.2 deg at an angle of 2.213 meters, condition 3 GZ value 31.8 deg at an angle of 2.177 meters
