Abstract

Bandar Sri Junjungan RoRo Port, Dumai City, is a port that connects the Dumai area with Rupat Island. This port is a port with busy crossing activities. This can be seen in the queue of vehicles crossing at the Dumai-Tanjung Kapal crossing port on weekends and national holidays. The aim of this research is to examine the queuing system and determine alternative vehicle queues as well as obtain the results of an analysis of the level of productivity service requirements for passengers/vehicles carrying RoRo ships at the Bandar Sri Junjungan RoRo Port, Dumai City. The methods used are field surveys, steady state substitution and least squares linear regression methods to predict productivity in the next 5 years. Based on survey data, the queuing system is not in steady state because the condition ????<1 is not met. To handle the queue, the steady state substitution method is used with the addition of 1 ship. The results of this method at the busiest queue times effectively reduce queue density. In the analysis of forecasting data for the next 5 years (2024-2028), there was an increase in passengers of 12.66%, 2-wheeled vehicles 9%, 4-wheeled vehicles 9%, and 6-wheeled vehicles 6%. From this analysis it can be concluded that the addition of 1 ship, the level of ship service is optimal in handling vehicle queues and passenger/vehicle productivity increases every year at Bandar Sri Junjungan RoRo Port, Dumai City
