Abstract

This research aims to design a hoist crane system focused on improving the efficiency of the learning process and fabrication activities in the pipe and plate workshop. The research process includes the stages of design, assembly, and testing of the equipment. Initial design was carried out using SketchUp and AutoCAD applications to visualize the system before the assembly execution. Power calculations for the hoist motor were conducted to determine the achievable lifting capacity. Based on literature studies, the system is designed to lift a maximum load of up to 1000 kg. The analysis results presented in section 4.2 indicate that the designed equipment can achieve this capability. Testing was conducted in three stages, using three H Beam bars weighing 303 kg each. The test results showed that the equipment was able to lift all three H Beams efficiently within 5 minutes per trial, demonstrating that the hoist crane system functions optimally. With these results, this research is expected to serve as a reference for the development of more efficient lifting systems in industrial environments.
