Abstract

Along with the times, techonology science that is useful for everyday life has also developed. The survey results of saveral workshops in Bengkalis have problems is when opening a tubeless tire which is sticky due to the wider tire, because there is a leak – proof fluid and it realyy requires a lot of energy to remove the tire, with this problem the idea arose to make a tire press. This tool aims to make it easier for mechanics to open the edge of the tire with wheels. A motorcycle tire press tool is a fairly simple tool designed specifically to open the side gap of the tire from the wheel so that it is easy when opening standard tires for both automatic and ordinary motorbikes for spokes 14 and 17. The main parts of the tires press motorbike are the fixed jaw, the sliding jaw, and the locking lever. Hawever, until now, there are still many mechanic workshops, especialy motorbik, using makeshift tool in the process so that the results are not perfect and maximal. After manufacture of the tool is complete, the tool complete, the tool testing is carried out and the calculation of the screw strength is carried out from the designe’s results using a tire press tool can shorten the time by 2 minutes 15 seconds, and is able to neutralize damage to wheels and tires.
