Abstract

Various industrial sectors are currently experiencing rapid growth, driving an increase in the need for large-capacity lifting equipment to support the production process and arrangement of goods. The construction project of a wallet shophouse in Siak Kecil District requires lifting equipment that can lift loads of up to 200 kg to speed up work and lighten the burden on workers. This design aims to design and construct a small-scale lifting machine with a maximum capacity of 200 kg, using an electric motor and steel rope. The problem faced is how to design an efficient lifting machine that can be used in a limited work area. The proposed solution includes designing a lifting machine that meets the capacity and needs of the construction project. The methods used in this study include the design, manufacture, and performance testing stages of the lifting machine. The expected result is the creation of a lifting machine that can lift loads of up to 200 kg with a maximum height of 50 cm and is able to operate in narrow spaces. The expected benefit is that this tool can be used by warehouse workers and medium-sized industries to move goods, thereby increasing work efficiency and productivity.
