Abstract

The design of an Arduino Uno-based sand sieving machine as a speed controller is designed to increase efficiency in construction and industrial processes. This machine uses a 1-phase AC motor as the main drive, with power transmitted through a pulley and V-belt system. The main objective is to speed up and simplify the sorting of sand particles according to the desired size, thus saving time and improving production quality. The control system of this machine involves several major components, including a 1-phase AC Motor for sieving, a Zero-Cross SCR Dimmer with a PID system for speed regulation, and an Arduino Uno R3 as the main controller. Tests were conducted with three different loads: 3 kg (0.0025 m³), 7 kg (0.0058 m³) with speed 50 %, and 12 kg (0.01 m³) with speed 100%. The results show that this machine is able to sieve sand effectively, both for coarse and fine sieves, according to the load capacity and dimmer settings given.
