Abstract
Design of Electric Current Detection Equipment using the principle of electromagnetic induction and IC 4017 as an indication of the presence of electric voltage. and can be K3 for technicians in the field to avoid danger. Magnetic induction is the strength of a magnetic field due to the electric current flowing in a conductor. The magnetic field around a wire carrying an electric current was discovered by Hans Cristian Oersted (1820). This IC was connected to the transistor base to trigger the transistor base so that the collector and emitter on the transistor were connected with a live LED and a buzzer sounded, noting that the greater the magnetic field around it, the farther it was. tool detection distance. The tool in this final project uses a 9 V DC voltage source. This tool is packaged in a plastic box measuring 11.5 CM x 5.5 CM x 4 CM, where some of the components assembled on the PCB are located in the box and the Push Button, LED, and air core inductor are located at the top and front of the box. magnetic field at a distance of 1.03 M, the current is 4.70 A i.e., 91.26 µT, and at a distance of 4.8 CM, the current of 0.02 A is 08.33 µT. The tool can detect when current flows in a conductor line. The closer the distance of the voltage detector prototype to an object that conducts electric current, the greater the electric voltage will be and will be marked by a buzzer and lit LED. From the results of the experiment the device produces no errors or can be called a successful trial 100%
