Abstract
racking of reinforced concrete in a corrosive environment will accelerate the damage to the concrete structure. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the inhibition of the corrosion rate of concrete reinforcement steel, namely through the test of compressive strength, porosity, modulus of elasticity and chloride penetration in concrete. The method used in this test is to make a concrete mixture using SNI 03-2843-2000 for a quality of 25 Mpa concrete with FABA mixture.in this study a chloride penetration test was carried out, the testing process has been carried out by the Rapid chloride permeability test (RCPT) method in accordance with the existing standard, namely ASTM C-1202 by conducting an electric current of 60 volts with a direct flow on the test piece using a pawer supply. The results showed that the use of FABA had a significant effect on the compressive strength of concrete with acompressive strength value of 26.05 Mpa. The use of FABA of 6% with a reduction of 6% cement provided a good combination of high compressive strength, low porosity of other variations and good chloride penetration.
