Abstract

A bridge is a land transportation infrastructure that is traversed by vehicles or pedestrians to cross terrain such as rivers, lakes, highways, railways, and so on. The importance of the role of bridges for human life, so the feasibility of a bridge must be reviewed. If the bridge is damaged, the activities of residents will be hampered. The author conducted a review of a bridge in Meskom, Bengkalis District, Bengkalis Regency. The guidelines used refer to the 2022 bridge inspection guide method. From the results of the survey conducted, it can be seen that the elements that are damaged, namely in the sidewalk, railing poles, complementary buildings, river flows, lower buildings, approach roads, are damaged with damage values of 1,4,1,1,2 and 3. The condition value obtained from the planning life plan that NK is obtained is 2, the remaining life of the bridge is obtained still remaining 20 years. Although there are still 20 years left maintenance must be done. So that the handling for all damage to the Meskom bridge is routine maintenance including minor repairs. So it must require inspection so that there is no continuous damage to the Meskom Bridge.
