Abstract

This research was conducted to understand gantry cranes as a tool that can accelerate the pace of production which has a significant influence on handling heavy loads, accelerating mobility, and high flexibility in moving workloads to certain areas. The main purpose of this study is to obtain design drawings, calculate construction material requirements, design, conduct weld joint testing with NDT test, and perform loading testing. In achieving this goal, the methods used include data collection, design design, and analysis of the construction strength of the gantry crane frame. The data analysis process uses AutoCAD and SolidWorks software. The result of this study is the design and construction of Gantry Crane equipment which has gone through several strength tests, namely welding joint testing, NDT test (Penetran Test) and loading test that can lift a maximum load of 1 Ton. Thus, this research makes an important contribution in the field of construction and force analysis of gantry cranes
