Abstract

The principle of BIM is to create models in the form of data in collaboration with various parties, from planning, design, manufacturing to maintenance. The existence of BIM can simplify the execution of construction work, such as delays. And in PUPR Ministerial Decree Number 22/PRT/M/2018 on Guidelines for the Construction of State Buildings Providing Construction Planning Services, the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) should be applied to non�simple state buildings with the criteria for an area of over 2000 m² (two thousand square meters) and over 2 (two) floors, and applied to the Multifunctional and Commercial Building, SQUARE UMKM Collaboration, University of North Sumatra has a construction area of 4,406,975 m² with 4 floors. In this final assignment we discuss the use of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) concept by creating 3D (three-dimensional) modeling of structural work using Autodesk Revit software. Autodesk Revit software can produce quantity take-off results which can be processed with the help of supporting software namely Microsoft Excel. As for the check with conventional calculations using Microsoft Excel, the difference in concrete work was obtained as follows: foundation -2%, tie beam -8%, beam 0%, column 2%, floor slab 0% and stairs 3%, while the difference in reinforcement work namely: foundation -8%, tie beam 10%, beam 15%, column 6%, floor slab 9%, stairs 6%.
