Abstract

The bilge system is an important part of a ship's system that serves to collect, manage and discharge small amounts of water collected in the bilga well. However, developing a bilge system is not easy because it involves various technical, operational and environmental aspects. In addition to understanding how to design ship building construction, as a student majoring in shipping engineering, you should also understand more about piping systems, one of which is the bilge system. However, to capture material on a material, it will be more effective if students use miniatures as a learning medium for students. This pipe system functions as the main part of the ship that connects the flow of fluid from one place to another. This media helps students to facilitate understanding of a topic that is being conveyed, one of which is about this bilga system, makes the teaching and learning process more interesting, and hopes that students will get a picture that will be a provision before going directly to the industrial world. As described, therefore the authors suggest making a miniature bilga system as a teaching aid that will later be used by students to help the teaching and learning process. The results of the pipe calculation are as follows: Main pipe diameter calculation = 104.6 mm / 4.133 inch, Branch Pipe calculation = 65.14 mm / 2.56 inch, Bilga Pump capacity = 64.46 m3/ hr.
