Abstract
The increasing need for electrical energy encourages people to utilize existing electrical energy sources. New renewable energy is a solution for energy supply to replace fossil energy which is still used today. The use of new, renewable energy can also reduce environmental damage. Wind is an air mass that moves from an area of maximum pressure to an area of minimum pressure. To be able to produce electrical energy from wind energy requires a tool in the form of a wind turbine. Wind energy is expected to be one solution to replace fossil fuels. The need for electrical energy continues to increase, so it takes a lot of time to build an electric power plant. System planners must also be able to see the possibilities for development of the electric power system in the years to come. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the electricity industry which includes generation planning, control and protection systems, as well as electricity transmission and distribution systems that will be distributed to consumers. The construction of large-scale power plants is often hampered by the large investment and long construction periods at power centers compared to the development of other industries, so efforts need to be made to meet electricity needs in a timely manner.
