Abstract

Ship stability is one of the most important ship capabilities in sailing and the cause of ship accidents at sea, both that occurs on the high seas and when at the port. Such is the importance of knowledge of calculating ship stability for sailing safety, so as a naval engineering student must be equipped with a set of knowledge in ship stability. . At the Bengkalis State Polytechnic, there is no tool to test the stability of this ship, while this tool is needed to support students in understanding the learning process in class. With a case like the one above, the writer thought and was inspired to make an Inclining Test test tool that is simple and easy to operate. So the authors hope that with this Inclining Test, we can find out the stability of the ship, although not completely. With the aim that it can be used in Bengkalis State Polytechnic Campus, especially in shipping techniques.
