Abstract

Electrical energy is the main source of energy needed for every electrical equipment or energy stored in electric current. Electrical energy sources can be converted into other energy to support human activities such as driving motorbikes, lighting lights and can also heat things. Electrical energy is the main source of energy needed for every electrical equipment or energy stored in electric current. In simple terms, the working principle of a PLTU is that water is pumped into a boiler/steam boiler, in the boiler the water is converted into steam. Then steam that has been pressurized and at a certain temperature is channeled into a steam turbine, then the steam energy is used to rotate the turbine to obtain mechanical energy. Steam Power Plants (PLTU) are plants that rely on kinetic energy from steam to produce electrical energy. The aim of this research is to determine the power generated by the turbine and the heat energy required by the boiler. In a PLTU, the primary energy that is converted into electrical energy is fuel. The fuel used can be coal (solid), oil (liquid), or gas.
