Abstract

This research aims to design and build an automatic clothes dryer cabinet that utilizes the Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) method to optimize the drying process. In the modern era, the need for time and energy efficiency in household activities is increasing, especially in drying clothes. This designed drying cabinet is equipped with a DHT22 sensor that can measure the condition of the clothes in real-time. The FLC method is used to determine the optimal drying temperature based on input data from the sensor. By using fuzzy logic, the system can adapt to various environmental conditions, resulting in effective drying without damaging the fabric. The test results show that this drying cabinet can reduce drying time by up to 30%, achieving a dry condition in 178 minutes with a voltage of 228 V at a temperature of 42.9 °C, a power of 43.42 watts, and a current of 0.19 A.
