Abstract

The research objective of this final assignment is related to efforts to improve shipping safety regarding ship accidents in Bengkalis waters by KSOP class IV Bengkalis. The problems that will be discussed in this final assignment focus on the factors that cause ship accidents in Bengkalis waters by KSOP Class IV Bengkalis, the policies implemented by KSOP Class IV Bengkalis in efforts to increase shipping safety regarding ship accidents in Bengkalis waters and how to improve them. shipping safety against ship accidents in Bengkalis waters by KSOP Class IV Bengkalis. shipping safety, ships and ship accidents. The results of this research show that there are still many factors that cause ship accidents which are caused by human error, engine failure, damage to ship structures, weather factors, shallow water conditions, fires, policies implemented by KSOP Class IV Bengkalis by implementing safety regulations and standards. The strict regulations and efforts made to improve shipping safety are the role and responsibility of KSOP and fishermen to maintain operational security.
