Abstract
Shrimp fishing boats are boats that operate in river waters that are used by the people of Bengkalis Island to catch shrimp. These boats are designed to use a solar cell system. The main dimensions of the boat were obtained using a comparative data system, then those obtained through a location survey were L = 2.5 M, B = 1 M, H = 0.60 M, T = 0.20 M. This design also includes the placement of solar panels photovoltaics on the top of the boat to optimally capture solar energy. The solar cells are connected to a reliable battery energy storage system, allowing storage of surplus energy for use at night or when the weather is less favorable.
