Abstract

Electricity is something that is always used in everyday life. All electronic devices always require electrical energy to operate. This is what sometimes happens in everyday life, users forget how much time has been spent using electronic devices which can result in wastage of electrical energy. The effort that needs to be made is to create an Internet of Things-Based Electrical Power Monitoring System Using the Exponential Smoothing Method in the Implementation of Household Electrical Power Needs. Requires electronic components such as the PZEM-04T sensor, NodeMCU, 16x2 LCD, and Adapter. This system works starting from the PZEM-004T sensor reading voltage, current, and power taking data from the electrical load installed on the electric current, then the data read on the sensor will be displayed via the 16x2 LCD and can also be viewed on a smartphone on the blink application connected via the internet network with the help of wifi on NodeMCU. From testing this tool, it produces a voltage comparison analysis with an average error of 0.8%, and a current and power comparison analysis produces an average error of 1.9% and 1%.
