Abstract

raditional copra drying is often hampered by unpredictable weather conditions,especially during the rainy season. This affects the productivity and quality of the copra produced. This research aims to design and build a copra drying device using an electric oven based on Wemos D1 R2 ESP8266 with the Blynk application as an IoT-based monitoring tool. The system operation starts by connecting the device to a power source and setting the desired temperature and humidity through the Blynk application. If the temperature or humidity exceeds the set limits, the device will automatically activate or deactivate the heater and fan to adjust the conditions as required. The DHT22 sensor monitors the temperature and humidity inside the oven.Test results show that this device can dry copra more efficiently compared to sun drying methods. Using this device, the copra drying process becomes faster, and the quality of the copra produced is better. This device also offers flexibility to users in controlling the drying process anytime and anywhere, thus increasing productivity and efficiency in the copra industry.
