Abstract
Drainage channels are one of the additional structures on roads to fulfill one of the technical requirements for road infrastructure. Drainage means flowing, draining, throwing away or diverting water. In general, drainage is defined as a series of water structures that function to reduce or remove excess water from an area or land, so that the land can be used optimally.The data or information used is secondary data obtained from the selat baru weather station and primary data obtained from direct surveys in the field. The data processing method uses manual calculations in accordance with the rational method for calculating flood discharge, and the manning and chezy formulas for channel speed.The author can draw several conclusions based on the results of analysis and calculations of flood discharge for various return periods of 2, 5, 10 years, which is 0,6932 m3/second; 0,7581 m3/sec; 0,7937 m3/sec. The dimensions of the drainage channel from the calculation results for a 10 year period are as follows: channel height (manning) (m) = 0,90 m, channel width (B) = 1,24 m, and channel height (chezy) (m) = 1,24 m, channel width (B) = 1,70 m, with rectangular cross-section.
