Abstract

Real-time measurement and monitoring of electrical power are crucial in energy management systems to enhance efficiency and reduce unnecessary power consumption. This study involves the development of a power monitoring system based on the ESP8266 microcontroller using the PZEM-004T sensor to measure electrical parameters such as voltage, current, active power, and energy. The system is equipped with a Kalman filter to reduce noise and improve measurement accuracy. The Kalman filter is used in the process of estimating electrical parameters to produce more stable and reliable data, especially under fluctuating or noisy signal conditions. Data obtained from the PZEM sensor is wirelessly transmitted via the Wi-Fi module on the ESP8266 to a server or cloud platform for remote monitoring. Test results show that the application of the Kalman filter can smooth measurement data and provide more accurate power estimates compared to measurements without the filter. The system developed not only offers an efficient and low-cost solution for electrical power monitoring but can also be int`egrated into various smart home and industrial energy management applications.
