Abstract
This research discusses the development of an expert system for early detection of fever in children using the web-based forward chaining method. This expert system is designed to provide support to parents or caregivers in identifying fever symptoms in children Quickly and accurately. The forward chaining method is used to describe the inference process, where the system proactively assesses the symptoms entered by the user to reach a diagnosis of febrile illness. Web-based integration allows easy and quick access from various devices, increasing affordability and user convenience. Expert system testing was conducted using case data and produced promising results in supporting early detection of febrile illnesses in children. The results of this research can contribute to the provision of faster and more effective health information, helping users to take further treatment steps according to their child's condition.
