Abstract

Currently, waste has become a common problem that can disturb the environment. It is hoped that the design and equipment for chopping organic waste will be able to reduce the problem of organic waste. The design and design of this tool aims to create a ship and organic waste chopping tool using a petrol motor as the driving force. To overcome the problem of pollution due to waste and expedite the process of processing and handling waste on waste transport ships, good and environmentally friendly waste processing and handling is needed, one of which is waste transport ships and waste chopping equipment. In planning the design of a waste transport ship, the results were obtained from the design of the ship's line plan and the general plan of the ship with the main dimensions of the ship, Loa 10.43 meters, Lpp 9.628 meters, B 2.23 meters, H 0.95 meters, and T 0, 5 meters. And the design of the organic waste chopper using a petrol motor as the driving force has a height of 1.04 meters and a width of 1.17 meters. The results of designing an organic waste chopper using a petrol motor as the driving force, with test results using leaf and twig test materials with the first test results weighing 0.5 kg of leaves and twigs taking around 15 minutes using around 0.3 liters of oil and the chopped results weighing 0. 8kg, second test results with leaves and twigs weighing 1kg took 20 minutes using 0.33 liters of oil and chopped results weighing 1.2kg, third test results with leaves and twigs weight 1.5kg takes 25 minutes using 0.37 liters of oil and the chopped product weighs 1.8kg.
