Abstract
The rapid increase in CoViD-19 cases in Indonesia has an influence on a variety of sectors, including education. One of the effects has been the transition in the learning system from face-to-face to online, but the learning system has gradually reverted to face-to-face. As a way of supporting the implementation of learning activities in the middle of a pandemic by leveraging technology that can assist learning while still adhering to health rules, particularly in the student attendance system. So that it can be utilized as a preventative measure against the spread of CoViD-19, particularly in the educational field. In this study, the authors designed a device that can be an attendance media without the need for contact between the object and the tool. This device allows the attendance process and temperature measurement to be carried out simultaneously. The use of the LBPH algorithm for facial recognition and the use of RFID cards as student identity cards are two options for attendance processing. The findings of the facial recognition test show that it can be performed at a distance of 20 cm - 50 cm with a 91.27 % recognition accuracy rate. With a difference value of 0.13 C to 0.17 C and an error % age of 0.36 % to 0.46 %, the best temperature measurement using AMG8833 may be done at a distance of 10 cm to 20 cm. RFID card reading with a 100% success rate at a distance of up to 5 cm in the absence of barriers and 4 cm in the presence of obstacles. With an average time of 1.7 seconds, attendance data in the form of complete name, time of attendance, temperature, and information can be saved. With an accuracy rate of 89 % and an error % age of 11 %, this tool's overall reliability value is achieved.
