Abstract

One of the plants used in the process of making citronella oil is a boiler. Boilers are used to lower the temperature of sulfur gas that is passed through the phase (water). In the boiler water feedback system, a controller is needed that is able to maintain a stable water level. Therefore, in this study, a tool has been created that aims to monitor the water level in the boiler using an arduino atmega 2560 microcontroller and control the water pump, turning it on and off automatically. The manufacture of a water level control device on a citronella distilation boiler based on the arduino atmega 2560 in outline consists of several components, namely, a stainless float switch sensor as water level reader sensor in the water level boiler, arduino atmega 2560 as a microcontroller the regulate all components in the system. Control, relay, as a medium for automatically turning off and turning on the water pump, water pump as pumping water from the condensor to the boiler, buzzer as a notification and safety medium, and lcd as an appearance of condition that occur in the boiler water level. The working principle of this tool is that when the water reaches the max limit on the water level, the water pump will turn off and the buzzer will turn on, and the display on the water lcd wiil be full. Meanwhile, when the water reaches the low limit on the boiler water level, the water pump wil turn on and buzzer will turn off, and the display on the lcd fill the water.
